1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Imageconvertix ("the Service") at imageconvertix.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors who browse without using the tools and users who actively process files using our compression and conversion features. Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these Terms.

If you are using Imageconvertix on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you as an individual and the organization.

2. Service Description

Imageconvertix is a browser-based file processing platform that provides the following free tools:

• Image Compressor: Reduces image file sizes while maintaining visual quality, supporting JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, GIF, and TIFF formats.
• Image Converter: Converts images between formats including JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, TIFF, and ICO.
• Document Converter: Converts documents between formats including Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, HTML to PDF, CSV to JSON, PDF to Word, and related formats.

All processing is performed entirely within your web browser using client-side technologies. No files are transmitted to Imageconvertix servers. The Service is provided free of charge with no registration required.

We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features of the Service at any time without notice.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use Imageconvertix only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to process files that contain illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, content that violates intellectual property rights, or content used in furtherance of criminal activity.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or disable the Service, its servers, or networks connected to the Service.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other methods to access the Service at a rate that exceeds normal human usage patterns in a way that could impair service performance for other users.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service beyond what is publicly available and permitted by applicable law.
• Reproduce or redistribute Imageconvertix as your own product or service without explicit written permission.
• Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright notices, trademarks, or other proprietary rights notices contained in the Service.
• Use the Service in any manner that could damage, overload, or impair the proper functioning of Imageconvertix infrastructure.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, its servers, or any systems or networks connected to the Service.

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the Service for any user who violates these acceptable use provisions.

4. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding files processed by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Imageconvertix and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of applicable jurisdictions.

Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Imageconvertix in each instance.

The Imageconvertix name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Imageconvertix. You must not use such marks without our prior written permission. All other names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans on the Service are the trademarks of their respective owners.

Open source components: Imageconvertix uses certain open-source libraries for file processing (such as PDF.js and SheetJS). These libraries are used in accordance with their respective licenses, which are acknowledged in our application code.

5. Your Files and Content

Because Imageconvertix processes all files locally in your browser, we do not receive, store, or have access to any files you process using our tools. You retain full ownership of all files you process. We make no claim to any rights in your files.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the files you process, or you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to process those files.
• Processing your files through Imageconvertix does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or applicable law.
• You are not using the Service to circumvent copy protection, digital rights management, or other content protection mechanisms in a manner that violates applicable law.

Imageconvertix is not responsible for the content of files you process. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and third-party rights.

6. Disclaimers and Warranties

Imageconvertix expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• Any warranty that the Service will meet your requirements or be available on an uninterrupted, secure, or error-free basis.
• Any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information provided by the Service.
• Any warranty that files processed by the Service will be free from errors, data loss, or corruption.

We strongly recommend maintaining backup copies of all important files before processing them with any tool, including Imageconvertix. While our tools are designed to preserve file quality and data integrity, we cannot guarantee error-free operation under all circumstances.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Imageconvertix and its operators, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service.
• Any files lost, corrupted, or otherwise affected during processing.
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your files or data.
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service.
• Any bugs, viruses, or similar issues transmitted through the Service by any third party.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Since Imageconvertix is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed USD $10.00.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep Imageconvertix available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be unavailable due to scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, technical failures, acts outside our reasonable control (including natural disasters, power outages, or internet disruptions), or decisions to modify or discontinue the Service.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance when it will result in extended downtime, but we are not obligated to provide advance notice for emergency maintenance or unplanned outages.

We reserve the right to discontinue the Service or any feature of the Service at any time with or without notice.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We may also provide additional notice through a prominent banner on the Service.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you should stop using the Service.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the jurisdiction in which Imageconvertix is registered, as permitted by applicable law. You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration in connection with any dispute arising under these Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
